Classical Connect App · Arun Benedict

Classical Connect is a dedicated app designed for classical guitarists who want structured practice, technical clarity, and a focused musical community. It brings together notation‑based learning, tremolo and technique tracking, curated articles, and a clean social space where players can share progress, ask questions, and learn from one another. Unlike generic music apps, it supports the specific needs of classical players, from detailed score reading to instrument care and long‑term skill development.

Timer

A focused practice timer designed for classical guitarists. It does more than count minutes. It structures technique sessions and records every practice block so the app can build a meaningful picture of long-term progress. Typical music apps do not connect timing tools to technique development in this way.

Metronome

A metronome designed for classical technique work rather than casual rhythm practice. The interface supports controlled tempo development for tremolo, arpeggios and multi‑voice passages. This level of precision is not usually prioritised in mainstream music apps.

Tremolo

A technique-focused view designed specifically for classical guitarists. It offers multiple right-hand tremolo patterns that support formal classical training. Standard guitar apps rarely include classical fingering systems, so this screen provides a level of technical depth that generic platforms do not address.

Repertoire Status

A progress tracker that helps classical players monitor how their pieces develop over time. It uses a colour-coded calendar and percentage-based progress indicators to show how consistently each piece is being practised. Typical music apps do not combine technique work with structured repertoire development in this way.

As part of The Guide To series, Classical Connect sits alongside Acoustic Connect and Electric Connect, forming a family of apps tailored to different guitar disciplines. Each app is designed for its instrument type while sharing a unified visual system and a single user identity, allowing guitarists to move easily between classical, acoustic, and electric practice. The interface combines modern UI components with a calm, precise aesthetic that reflects the discipline of guitar performance.

While created for classical guitarists, the app also welcomes learners, hobbyists, and emerging professionals who want to deepen their technique, understand their instrument, and connect with a wider global community.

Prototype Link

Community

The Community tab highlights user interaction and engagement. It features a profile section with an endorsement option, allowing users to recognise valuable contributions. Below, the Forum and Messages areas provide spaces for discussion and direct communication. Each section includes a search bar for easy navigation, and message previews show active conversations, creating a lively and connected environment for classical guitar enthusiasts.

Library

The Library organises content into clear categories: Artist, Guitar Care, and News. Each section includes a short description that helps users understand its purpose. The design supports exploration of educational and inspirational material related to classical music. Its warm wooden background and simple layout maintain a consistent aesthetic that reflects the app’s refined and traditional character.
