With all the information sources available, finding the clear steps to follow before a cataract surgery can feel like a treasure a hunt. Patients also often have questions about the post-surgery care. Especially with a surgery like cataract, where lifestyle changes must be incorporated till the patient’s eye completely heals.
My project addresses these issues by providing a concise step by step guide for patients to follow. The information is designed to be conversational and encourage discussions between the healthcare provider and the patient.
A step-by-step approach is translated into a day-wise structure, where days act as steps and provide information to trigger action. This approach was translated into an app, to give the patient flexibility to curate their own journey by inputting information about existing ailments and other medical requirements.
