Graveyard Guidebooks | Ryann Carney

Graveyard guidebooks is a series dedicated to exploring burial grounds around the UK. Each volume explores the history of each cemetery, including notable burials and local legends. Each book also has information on cemetery symbolism and planning a visit.  

The series uses a combination of single-colour illustrations and black and white photos to capture the nature of each cemetery. Typographically, the books are historically inspired, pulling influences from carved gravestone lettering. While people interested in the strange and spooky might gravitate towards this series, it is also targeted at those who want to learn about local histories, and demystify these often overlooked historic sites.
