Happy lungs, big smiles | Neyla Alsada
Happy lungs, big smiles is an Asthma care kit targeting children and their parents on how to manage Asthma. Being diagnosed with Asthma can be a tricky time for a child and their parent especially using the inhalers for the first time – it doesn’t quite make sense! The kit’s aim is to ease the child into building a habit of taking their medications daily and a secondary kit for parents/caregivers to help their child navigate and maintain their symptoms.

Child’s Asthma Kit: The child’s kit comes with a welcome note, a booklet, and a rewards chart to track the medication intake. To counterbalance the seriousness of Asthma diagnosis, the visuals are full of happy shapes and colour to appeal to a younger audience.

Parent/Caregivers: The parent/caregiver’s kit comes with a welcome note, a two-sided poster with an Asthma First Aid Inhaler cut-outs to help the parent demonstrate how to use the inhaler, and a balloon to explain how lungs work. As for the visuals, they are an extension of the child’s kit applied in a more mature tone.
