Designed for adolescents and young adults aged 14+ that want to learn about sexual health and methods of contraception, Do not disturb is an informative, friendly, and accurate app. Social stigmas control how people treat certain topics and how they’re viewed. While methods of contraception are something many women need for their health, the discussion of this subject remains taboo. The challenge was to create a digital platform for people that feel as though they can’t talk to their parents about these subjects.

Do not Disturb aims to inform women/ men about methods of contraception in a friendly, non-judgemental way, and provide accurate information about serious topics such as consent, STIs, pregnancy, and more.

Information architecture and the main features of the app

The ‘Home’ feature introduces stigmatized topics and begins to discuss tips for destigmatizing them.

The ‘For Me’ feature informs users about pregnancy and different methods of contraception, leading to a quiz that recommends a method of contraception which is personal to the user.

The ‘FAQs’ feature allows users to ask questions in a safe and non-judgemental space.

A magazine called ‘After Birth’ was designed aimed at women, and covered methods of contraception, postpartum depression among other subjects.
